There is a great deal to be said for these simple canal cruisers. There are incredible waterways all over the world they could travel. Don’t forget also that small twin keel cruising boats are pretty easy to ship, often as deck cargo. Some of the smallest even fit in containers. We have a little 22’ vessel that we use when coastal cruising that we could ship over to Europe in this manner quite easily. Perhaps we’ll do it someday. For actual ocean crossing we prefer something a little more robust like our beloved Laurent Giles Vertue class sloop “Charis” or perhaps someday one of our “Coin Collection” vessels.
