I am seeing/hearing widely varying opinions on the subject of grounding for primarily wooden construction. Hasler in "Junk Rig..." expounds a heavy conductor run fom masthead to keel. Questionable sources have filled me with stories of seacocks being blown out of non-steel hulls. In some of the brokerage listings found on this web-site, grounding systems are suggested to be removed. Clarification on this subject would be appreciated. I am specifically looking at a solid wood mast, wood/epoxy hull & external bolted ballast.
