Tom, a couple fo question. Now is what being taught in the cad course are traditional methods of developing hull lines, but with Rhino? I've also noticed that maybe some, or many designers use solid modeling. Starting with a standard primitive and sculpting it to achieve the desired shape, like the duck tutorial in Rhino for a really basic example or what Captain Nat did with a vision and real materials. Now I dont have any experience with other marine specific software, but from what I could read on another boat design forum, it seems that alot of what their about is providing specifics about hull geometry from a solid model? Now do you get into solid modeling like what is described above- minus the marine plug-ins--in the cad course and is it something you practice as well Tom ?
