Hi Brian, I would like to mention that most programs will enable one to very quickly model a reasonable hull. In most programs it is very difficult to alter that reasonable hull into an excellent hull. In Rhino, there are a lot of different techniques to change that reasonable hull in to exactly the hull you want. (As an example: changing the sides of the keel into a NACA profile, or blending the leading edge of the keel from something sharp into a soft blended edge) It will take a few minutes longer to set up a hull in Rhino, but it will be the hull you want, and not the hull the program wants. You can write scripts for this in VB, but it is not necessary, since the gain in modelling speed will be low. (ps, if you are a salesmen advising a large firm, would you rather sell them AutoCad with updates every few years and expensive training, or low-priced Rhino which one can learn from the tutorials and MacNaughton's Cad Course?) Hope this helps, Geert-Jan
