Preliminary Design, Hamlin2.gif (22459 bytes) Mr. Hamlin is a very knowledgeable gentleman and it shows in this truly excellent work. We use this as a text in our Yacht Design School degree program in yacht and small craft naval architecture because it is a good solid foundation in preliminary design work. It is equally useful to yachtsman with a desire to understand the basics of naval architecture. It is a very good first book on design. It would be difficult to find much to criticize here. Even a long time professional designer will probably pick up some useful information he or she hasn’t come across before. (tm)  $34.95
