Minimum Tools for This Lesson if Taking the Course Entirely Using CAD
Rhinoceros® (commonly called “Rhino”) Either Educational or Commercial License.
If your budget allows you should also get at least the “Flamingo” and “Penguin” rendering plug-ins for Rhino. We recommend that you use Rhino with the “SpaceNavigator” 3D motion controller from www.3dconnexion.com
Note: The tools for manual drafting cost more, by the time you’ve bought the recommended tools for the first few lessons, than taking our “CAD Course” in the use of Rhino for marine design work plus purchasing the Rhino software and accompanying rendering and animation plug-ins. Aside from the knowledge gaining the Certificate received at the end of the “CAD Course” is quite valuable in and of itself. There is tremendous demand for Rhino operators in the marine industry.
