The 24 will be faster on the wind with the sloop rig, but she is also available as a schooner because we know many will not be able to resist it. Indeed, the original Surprise, a Pinky schooner we knew as children, was this size and charmed everyone who saw her. This version is large enough to contain an aft cabin with double berth and navigation area, and a forward cabin with small galley, head, and two berths with a table between. There is either one cabin trunk or two, depending on the rig selected.
